Burt's Bees Lipstick Review

Burt's Bees Natural Satin Lipstick

Did you guys know that the kings of lip balm, Burt's Bees did lipstick to? No?. Me neither.
When I spotted these walking through boots I was instantly intrigued and had to pick up a couple of shades to try. I've always loved their lip balms so I had high hopes.
Here in the UK were finally seeing some spring/summer weather and despite everyone wanting moisturizing products in the winter I also crave them in the summer months because I suffer from hay fever and I'm constantly blowing my nose and as gross as it sounds my lips tend to get super dry because of it.

The shades I picked up were 524 Wine Wave (right) and 501 Blush Basin (left).

Wine Wave is as you'd expect a deep plumy wine colour and my favourite of the two.

Blush Basin is a semi sheer neutral suede colour, a 'my lips but better colour' shade if you will.

They swatch true to shade, apply beautifully, they are super moisturizing, creamy and lightweight feeling on the lips. The website claims they last 8 hours, whilst they did keep my lips moisturised the colour didn't last the 8 hours, reapplication was needed so if you're going to be out and about all day it might be a good idea to take a compact mirror and the lippie with you for touch ups.

Now, I love me a matte lip, but, we all know that matte lip products aren't so forgiving when worn on chapped, dry lips so it was nice to have something to hand that contains 100% natural ingredients (including Moringa and Raspberry seed oils) that will love my lips and give them a little TLC without having to sacrifice beautiful colour.

As with all Burt's Bees products, lipsticks contain 100% natural ingredients | 18 shades of rich satin-smooth colour | Last 8 hours | Contains 3.4g of product | Made from 60% recycled materials | Not tested on animals - Certified Cruelty-Free |

Have you tried any of Burt's Bees makeup products? What do you think?

xx
